...Casa del Bosque, which produced its first wines in Casablanca Valley from the 1999 vintage, has opened a stylish restaurant, wine bar and retail store. Its 220 hectares of vines are cooled by morning fogs and the ocean winds that start blowing in around 2 p.m., and protected from frosts by wind machines. Winemaker Pilar Browne Salas and her colleagues make clear-cut whites and reds from entry-level to ultra-premium, and all punch above their price-point on export markets.
